The Talker

Today Ambrose was in a much better mood. He also took a three hour nap, which is always good news!! When Dad returned home this evening, Ambrose was in good spirits and greeted him with 'da da da da'... AND when we opened his newest books from Amazon package he was beaming! More books!!!

He especially liked his 'Bear and Ball' book. He was flipping the pages in his new books and making noise as if he were reading them... a total chatterbox! He even said 'ball' and pointed to the ball in his 'Bear and Ball' book. I took a little bit of video on my camera, but I'm not sure if that will upload to the blog... I'll have to see if I can figure it out. In the meantime, check out a few pictures from today.

Ambrose inspects his piece of toast... gee, Aunt Kim... I wonder where he gets that from?? LOL

I guess it is okay to eat...Ambrose was so good today, he played for awhile with his books and Mom got to rest up and recover from her cold... Dad commences the bedtime routine after getting Ambrose in his jammers... A few stories, then off to bed!!

Just to satisfy your addiction...

...here are a few more pics of 'little bear' from today. :)

One more pictures of Ambrose enjoying his cookie.
Ambrose and Dad hang out while Mom fixes dinner.
Mom and Dad BOTH get a break at last... Ambrose watches his favorite episode of The Backyardigans: 'Secret Agent'.

One more thing... Unlike in Arlington, there are waaay more girls Ambrose's age than boys! He usually hangs out with his 'girlfriends' Katy and Zoe. His only 'buddy' is Gregory... So, as you can imagine Ambrose is always grateful when his 'wingman' Gregory comes out! If you go check out 'Katy's Blog', you will see some pictures of Ambrose with his favorite friends in Germany. :) 'Katy's Blog' is listed in our Blog 'Links' section. Last week we had a playdate with Katy and Zoe, and we also took a trip to IKEA with Katy, Zoe and Gregory. Katy's Mom posted some great pics! Go check them out when you get a chance... kathrynwhite.blogspot.com Hope you don't mind if I share the link, Jenn!

Sunday...

Geetings... Our Sunday was rather boring. Mom doesn't feel well and Ambrose is a little clingy. We stayed in today and did not go anywhere. Dad helped clean up and play with Ambrose, while Mom slept for a few hours. I had no idea how tired I was until Mark sent me to bed!!

Anyway, we don't really have anything to report... Here are a few pictures to satisfy curiosity. :) Thankfully, this cookie pacified Ambrose for a bit. He was quite proud of himself and walked around showing his cookie to us while slowly munching away at it.

Welcome to our Blog!

Above is the view from our bedroom window last night while it was snowing!

Hi, I'm 'Ambrose's Mom'. :) My friend, Jenn, a.k.a. 'Katy's Mom', inspired me to begin a blog for Ambrose and our family. We currently live in Germany while 'Ambrose's Dad' is on active duty with the U.S. Navy. :) Last night, we had our first snow of the season! Not only did we almost make it to February without snow, but winter has been very mild.
We finally 'busted out' one of Ambrose's new sweaters today. We thought he might be a little chilly because it was about 10 degrees celcius here this morning. He is a bit ornary, but we don't know why... You can kind of tell something is going on by the look on his face in this picture!
Anyway, last night botched up a crockpot dinner. How can you botch a crockpot meal, you ask?? I've done it a few times... It was not cooked enough for diner, so I had to let it keep cooking into the night. We ended up eating leftover pizza for dinner. Bleh!
Then I realized- there is not much room in our small, not-so-cold fridge for a pot. In addition, if I put a hot pot of food in there, the temperature is certain to rise to an unsafe temperature for keeping perishable foods. The reason I know this is because I have a thermometer in there, okay?? ;)

So, the 'genius' had to figure out a way to save the day (and our hard earned food). A lightbulb came on in my head! How about we put it on our balcony overnight?? If it's cold enough to snow, certainly it will keep our food from spoiling... Hey- at least we have something for lunch today.

In a few hours, I head out to a Pampered Chef party and this evening I am scheduled for a massage at the home of another Ramstein wife. :) Dad agreed to babysit. Well, it's time for me to go heat up our snow-covered lunch, but I just had to get this blog going or I would be certain to procrastinate... At least you have something to read a few pictures to enjoy! I hope to update it daily.

Welcome to our journey...

Peek-a-boo, Mama! I see you.
